If comics ever needed a Bar exam or a citizenship test to administer to folks in the industry, they should get Tom Spurgeon to write it. Tom is not only one of the best journalists in comics, he’s one of the best journalists anywhere at covering his subject and sticking to his guns in the face of PR hype and spin. This morning, his Sunday Interview features a lengthy conversation we conducted last month prior to the release of Comic-Con and the Business of Pop Culture. It is about the best summary of my perspective outside of the book itself. I am overjoyed to see it run. As Tom would say, go read.
